Marketing Update: 2016-17 Newsletter and PreBuy Program

Good News!!! Prices are lower (AGAIN)!!!

Once again this year the prices that we are able to offer you for the 2016-17 Pre-Buy program are lower than last year. Although all products have gone up some from the absolute bottom, they are still below last year.

In conversations with customers the topic of oil prices always comes up. “Where are prices going? Are they up or down?”. As I tell them, if I knew that answer I would be sitting on my privately owned island resting in a hammock. Based on inventory and available supplies you would assume the prices should be stable to lower. We all know that in today’s society it is outside issues that seem to drive prices higher or lower rather than fundamental issues. My best guess is that prices should remain close to where they are now. As in past years the best way to protect yourself from the uncertainty of rising prices is to participate in the Pre-Buy program. If you think prices could go lower, our suggestion would be to only Pre-Buy 1/2 of your estimated needs– this way you can protect yourself in both a rising market and a falling market.

If you have any questions please call the office and we will guide you as best we can.

Looking to cut back expenses??? Invest in a programmable thermostat and you will see the return on your investment within the first year. When used properly, this device can save residents about $150 annually.

  • Programmable thermostats can be set to adjust the temperature of a home according to a user’s schedule. The temperature on programmable thermostats can be set to change at specific times and can automatically store settings and repeat those settings each day (with the ability to be set manually to override the program as needed).
  • A programmable thermostat also allows more precise temperature management and a wider range of selections, offering a number of programming choices.
  • Most programmable thermostats have a full seven-day programming ability that which allows for a different temperature schedule for every day of the week.
  • Environmentally conscious because they contain no mercury and are eco-friendly. Using less energy helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with energy production.
