**IMPORTANT** Third Party Notification (Residential Customers ONLY)

You have the right to designate a third party to be notified if your heating fuel deliveries might be terminated because of unpaid bills.  This is especially helpful to those who are ill or elderly and live alone.  The person you designate will not be responsible for your bills, but should be someone who can help you resolve your problems.  Please contact Hometowne Energy to enroll in this important voluntary program or you can access the THIRD PARTY NOTIFICATION FORM here.

Commercial

A signed new Commercial Credit Application is required to establish a Hometowne Energy account.  After you are approved for credit, a yellow invoice/ticket will be left with your  commercial fuel deliveries.  This will show you the gallons delivered, the current price and any taxes (if applicable), and the amount due.  It will have an attached mailing envelope to make it easy for you to simply return a check to our office.  Payment is due within 20 days of your delivery date, or according to your credit terms established.  Allow 1-2 business days if you request an invoice be mailed to you.

Residential

30 Day Charge (Traditional Customer)

A signed new Residential Credit Application is required to establish a Hometowne Energy account.  After you are approved for credit,  you will be left a yellow invoice/ticket when your fuel delivery is made.  This will show you the gallons delivered, the current price and any taxes (if applicable), and the amount due.  It will have an attached mailing envelope to make it easy for you to simply return a check to our office.  Payment is due within 30 days of your delivery date, or according to your credit terms established.

 “Pre-Payment” Policy (Economy Customer)

Any residential customer that is not credit approved by Hometowne Energy will be extended the courtesy of our drivers picking up the cash or check payment on your first delivery.  For any deliveries that follow, Hometowne will require you to pay in advance before a delivery will be released (It will be at Hometowne’s discretion if we allow the payment to be picked up on future deliveries).

You have the option to put a debit or credit card number on file and have deliveries charged to your card.

If you wish to open a charge account with Hometowne Energy, you will need to complete a new account application, please see our “Application and Forms” tab on the top of this page to download a credit application.

Important

Any time you apply for credit with a vendor, your credit history is subject to a credit check through a reputable credit bureau.  Because of this, your Social Security Number (SSN) is mandatory on all credit applications since this is the only way to access your credit history.

Hometowne Energy is very sensitive to the issue of privacy of social security numbers.

The credit manager of Hometowne Energy is the ONLY employee of Hometowne Energy that is authorized to handle your SSN.  After using the number to gain access to your credit history, your SSN and application is stored in a locked office.

If you do not wish to write your SSN on the new account form, you can call the credit manager and provide it to her over the phone.

Credit/Debit Cards

Hometowne Energy offers you the option to keep a credit/debit card on file for your account so that we can automatically pay your energy purchases when you get a delivery.  Simply go to the Applications and Forms and print/download our Secured Information Page and complete, then mail the authorization form to our office and we will keep it on file.  You will then also qualify to receive the Prompt Pay Discount with this option.

Hometowne Energy accepts:

  • Visa
  • Master Card
  • Discover
  • American Express

Prompt Pay Discount

All residential 30-Day Charge customers will receive a discount off the retail price if payment is received within 10 days of the invoice date.  Your invoice will show the payment due date and the discount available if the terms are met.

Budget – 10 or 12 months

The monthly budget program is open to residential fuel oil and propane customers.  Budget plans offer a great way to manage your energy expenses.  Hometowne Energy will estimate your annual cost of fuel then divide it into either a 10 or 12 month payment plan.  Budget payments are then monitored and adjusted quarterly throughout the year to ensure accurate payments made will cover your annual fuel cost.

Enrollment period for a budget plan is limited and some restrictions may apply.

H.E.A.P. (Heating Energy Assistance Program)

Hometowne Energy is a participant of the Heating Energy Assistance Program.  You will need to have a Hometowne Energy account established (pre-payment account or 30 day charge).  For more information regarding H.E.A.P. eligibility, contact your local county Department of Social Services.

Pre-buy

Once a year, we offer our customers an opportunity to purchase up to one year’s energy requirements at a fixed price.  We secure your gallons and deliver them to you throughout the heating season.

Hometowne Energy will, at certain times within the year , make available to it’s customers a “fixed” price for propane and fuel oil.  You can pre-purchase up to one (1) year’s  worth of gallons that you need and have your fuel paid for at the fixed price.  Hometowne Energy will secure these gallons and deliver them to you on an automatic delivery basis when you need them.  In the case that you do not use all of your gallons you will get a financial credit at the end of the program and you can either have your money refunded or apply it toward your energy needs for the next year.
